The 5.5" swimbaits like our Finger Mullet, Smoked Mullet, Pinfish, and Goggle Eye are patterns work excellent on snook, redfish, tarpon, speckled trout, & MORE!

These swimbaits in our Spanish Sardine, American Shad, and BB Mullet patterns are equally at home when fishing pitching them to schoolie dolphin offshore or cruising red drum or snook along your mangrove shorelines.

The swimbait patterns like our Skipjack Tuna and Dorado were patterns developed from a relentless request of previous customers providing feedback. These two patterns are deadly effective in the deep blue waters of the Caribbean. We've also had customers share successful catches when targeting Bluefin Trevally, Giant Trevally, Roosterfish, and other coastal gamefish along the Pacific.

The general rule of thumb we like to use is the darker or more stained the water color is the darker lure you should be fishing. 

Crystal Clear or Gin Clear Water

• When fishing in crystal clear or gin clear water like an incoming or flood tide, we recommend any of the profiles with our flash foil finish like Spanish Sardine, Skip Jack, BB Mullet, Goggle Eye, or Shad as these holographic patterns reflect more easily in clean water conditions and can be seen quickly from a distance.

Stained Water

• The Golden Shiner and Mayan Cichlid colors are two gems that really "POP" and show huge contrast when fishing in stained water such as rivers, ponds and lakes. 

Dark Stained or Murky Water

• The Smoked Mullet & Purple Mullet patterns work well when fishing stained or murky water as the darker hues really stand out against a blue skyline, while the abalone finish gives the lure just the right amount of flash to stand out in the water column.

• Simply cast & retrieve the swimbait at a steady pace to achieve realistic swimming action. 
• A faster, stop and go retrieve can also be very effective in getting a reaction strike
• Make sure to adjust your retrieve speed according to the depth of water and speed of current or tide.
• For example, a faster tide may require a slower retrieve to keep the lure swimming correctly and vice versa.
